I have a bellows in one of my assemblies

I can change the overall length in the bellows part file and the bellows is constrained to open and close according to the relations I set when I made it.

Is there a way to use the sketch dimension in the part to drive the length of the bellows in the assembly.

Can it be done through configurations?

Thanks,
DG

You can do this in your assembly by using equations. Do a search in the Online User’s Guide for “Working with Parts within an Assembly”

The following is copied from the Online User’s Guide.
Create and edit components within the context of the assembly. That way, you can use the geometry of one component to help define another. When you create references between components, the models are fully associative. Changes you make to a referenced component cause the others to update accordingly.
