Hi,

How could I make the 3D sketcher seen in the 2D drafting?

Thanks

In the property page of the 2d drawing view turn on 3D wireframe. Also the sketch must be visible in 3D

Derek

I just did, but still, it doesn't show up!...............

Sorry, my bad.
It appears but the sketcher doesn't have the color and font identical with the 3D model.....

Jackk,
I did all you specified, but the color and font do not match like in the 3D model......Could it be a matter of OPTION?.......
Thanks

I also changed the color of the 3D model, but the 2D drafting view didn't reflect tha change!
What could it be?..................

Do you have 3D colors turned on in the View --> Properties --> View tab. This will only take into consideration the color of the sketch not the internal colors of the sketch when active.

if you are using create view from 3D (to get annotations) edit the options in tools --> options --> Mech Design --> Drafting --> View - View from 3D - Keep layout and dress up of 2d extracted annotations, turn off the annoying generated red cross on annotation

Derek

Hi Derek,

Still, all the 3D attributes(color, font size) do not appear in the 2D views!.....

What font? You can not change a font of a sketch constraint. Are you changing the tools options settings or the view property settings? Because the tools options settings will be applied when you create a view and the view properties settings are custom/view.

zip a sample sketch and attach the file for me please.

Regards,
Derek

I did a bit more digging, the 3D Spec option refers to the property page options (drafting tab) of a part or component while in an assembly. The line types do not get passed from 3d to 2d. You can pass the 3D properties but there are a few steps involved. See attached 3D to 2d settings.doc

Derek
