Sketch Tools Icons Disappear

I am having an ongoing problem with my icons disappearing.
How would I recover my icons without leaving the session?

Try this:

- right-click on any button on the right side
- Customize...
- Toolbars tab
- Pick the toolbar from the list
- Hit "Restore Position" button
