sketcher question

Hi All,

When working in sketcher is there some type of filter I can use to pick and delete a geometrical constraint over a dimensional constraint? That is, if I have a circle that has a dimensional constraint of .500" and also has a coincidence constraint, how can I pick and delete only the coincidence constraint? Many times it seems to pick the dimensional constraint first and I find myself having to constantly recreate constraints I have unintentionally deleted. Any tips?

Hi,
If I understoond your question correctly, there are numerous ways to do it...

I list few here...

1) Keep cursor on the area where you have overlapping constraints, then hit the down and up arrows on your key board, use mid mouse button to toggle between elements and use RMB to pick your required element.

2) Tools-Sketch Analysis-Diagnostic---Here you have a list of all DIM and GEOM constraints, where you can play around.

3) Expand the history tree of the sketcher, you can see all your conssraints listed there, which are sensitive to your cursor moment.

4) In the bottom most tool bar (VISULIZATION TOOL BAR) you have HIDE and SHOW buttons specially designed for GEOM and DIM constraints.

We conversed a while back about some sort of "knowledge" templates you were creating to simplify mould designs, that were similar to the program developed by Ascendbridge. I was wondering how far you had advanced in your endeavours?

Thixoguy - We currently do not have a KWA&PKT license, with that I am missing some rules and "slick" ways of adding assemblies. I am sure I have more advanced catalogs and the structure is custom made for internal reasons.
