Hi all,
The thickness of a skirt supported is only checked in compression against the induced wind moments and not against tension. But, the side of the base plate, which will be in tension, will try to overturn, which will be resisted by the anchor bolt. But, then, we need to evaluate the bearing strenght of this plate which is being checked by compress. Any suggestions??
