Good afternoon.....has anyone ever used Skypaks before? We have a project where we would like to use them, but can't locate them on an outside wall-any thoughts?
Thanks!

I googled that and, to be honest, i am surprised that such units still exist on market, it looks to me like i come to car exhibition shop and find that horse-driven coach is offered:) why would you want to use it?

They are made to be installed in outside walls.

So if you can't install them in outside walls why would you like to use them?

I am working on a project right now using the units (Magic Pak). The reason they are using them is obvious - cost.
P.S. They need the outside wall.

They are not very green as all standby loss goes to atmosphere.

Cheap is rarely green, Skypak is cheap.

I dont even know what a Skypak is but I feel obliged to contribute. The pursuit of green, just for the sake of being green, can end up costing the customer / end user big $$. As an example I live in a 35 year old house with a 20 year old mid efficiency 80% gas furnace. My annual heating bill is around $1000, with only 50% of that being the cost of gas., the other $500 being fixed distribution costs etc etc.

If I were to change out to a high efficiency 92% furnace it might cost me about $5000 I think. Any engineer can easily compute the annual savings and / or the number of years required to recover my initial up front cost but the average guy on the street doesnt have this mathematical ability and is constantly being told to go green , go high efficiency, save the environment. At what cost to the individual or society??
