Slew Bearing Repair (Ship Loader) 1

Hi All

I am looking at option, if there is one, to repair a slew gear due to excessive backlash on a ship loader.
As you are well aware, replacing the slew gear is a massive exercise by itself.

Wonder if anyone out there knows a company that might be able to perform the "repair" work on-site.

Replace pinion with and oversize pinion.

In the picture it appears that the pinion is not engaged fully with the slew gear. Can the pinion be moved closer to the gear?
