slide library

I have some trouble with viewing my slide library in acad 2000. In the bhatch dialog box, I cannot see the slide preview of the hatch in the swatch window. The problem is the same if I advance to the "..." dialog box next to the swatch window. The hatching function works fine otherwise. I can see the that the acad.slb file is not corrupted by viewing the slides from vslide command. I use the exact same acad.pat and acad.slb on four machines, and I only have trouble on this one machine.

Any suggestions?
