Hi All,
I have an internal stud partition that I want to disconnect in plane as it is not capable of the required drift. The partition would need to be restrained out of plane still.
Has anyone got a typical detail that they use to do this. I expect it to be relatively simple, cut the top of the partition and place angles/timbers either side of the partition to restrain it in plane.
Would be thankful if someone has a tidy detail. Also, the roof above is timber joists with t & g sheathing.
Thanks
