I'm trying to envision how the 'slip contacts' work in a lock-out relay. Does anyone have a good description(or graphic/animation) of this process?

thanks

I've never heard of slip contacts being used for lock-out relays. Normally they are used as "memory" contacts for breaker control switches.

The link below may help.

By "Slip contacts" you mean latched contacts (that remain in changed position even after the control power to trip relay is disconnected!
These are reset by reseting the latch by manual action ("Hand Reset") or through electrical action ("Electrical Reset") by pushing a Reset button.
