Slope stability for rail road side slopes 1

I am performing slope stability analysis for rail road. I cannot decide what liveload (magnitude & location) I use for analysis. I would appreciate if anybody would provide me the information or any reference.

If you are working on a railroad embankment in the US, you will likely need to use a Cooper E-80 live load. This load distribution is illustrated in the Caltrans Trenching and Shoring Manual available from the Caltrans website and also here:

In the UK Network Rail require designers to model a surcharge of 50kPa across the sleepers and 10kPa across the rest of the embankment
