My company has been using Slope/W for years now, and I was asked to look into other options for evaluating slope stability. I have looked at PCSTABL, XSTABL, Galena, GSlope and Slope/W 2004. Slope/W seems to be the best but the cost is extreme cpmpared to xstabl and pcstabl. Any advice or expierience is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

AChwalibog,

See this post that I started...lots of good information here. Personally, I have started using the latest version of GeoStudio from GeoSlope, and it is quite useful. GSlope is also very good, although the interface is not as good as some of the others.

Cheers,

I've been using Slope/W 2004 (GeoStudio 2004). It's very easy to setup and analyze a model. GeoStudio combines all their packages into one, which gives you the option to run Seep/W, Quake/W, etc. without having to setup the model for each package. Changing from one to the other is as simple as clicking a toolbar button.
