Slope Stability Software

Any suggestions for a slope stability software that would be used primarily for checking global stability of geosynthetic reinforced retaining walls. Preferably something that is easy to use/user friendly. I have used GSlope which seems to be a fairly user friendly program. Seemed slightly dated (atleast the version I used).

No, I have not tried either software (No Demo's).

I am also on the market for a slope stability software. With the GEO5, I am able to evaluate their capability with a DEMO. It can do tiebacks, geogrids and strip loads on terraced slopes, so I am leading towards it. However, I probably would delay the purchase until I have a slope stability project that would pay for it. It is also under $1k.

I prefer UTEXAS4 available from Shinok software. It may not be as user friendly as some of the others, but I prefer the detailed output information and input method.

This may sound counter intuitive, but I believe that modeling software shouldn't be too easy to use. Otherwise people start using it without enough thought. This leads to the age old problem of garbage in and garbage out.

I believe that global stability should be performed by an experienced geotechnical engineer. Input parameters (soil, water, weights, etc.) for slope stability are not easy to determine and are influced by many variables.
