Has anyone one experienced slow dialogue menus in NX7? For example, when press rectangle, the dialogue box takes 7 seconds to load. It does this for about half the tools I use. Sick and tired of looking at that windows spinny circle!!
UGNX 7 -64 bit, I7 processor, 8 gig ram, Quadro 1800.
Thanks!

Exactly which 'Rectangle' dialog are you talking about?

From my experience, the worst dialog in terms of the time it takes to open the first time in a session (once a dialog has been opened in a session it's cached so it will be quicker the next time you open it) has generally been the new 'Hole' feature (introduced in NX 5.0) dialog which takes approximately 3 or 4 seconds on my Dell M4500 (Intel i7, 4 GB memory, Quadro FX 880M, Windows 7) running NX 7.5. When it was first released, this dialog took maybe 5 or 6 seconds but they've sped it up over the last couple of releases.

At the moment, I'm not aware of any dialog today which takes more than 5 seconds maximum to open, and then only the first time it's accessed in a session.

It's the rectangle tool in modeling. I actually timed it this morning. From the time I hit the button till the time the cursor was available to pick a point was 8 seconds. Then, after picking the first point, a further 8 seconds till I was able to pick the next point. I did this repeatedly with the same result. I get similar results with basic curves, and spline, at about 5 second intervals. Interestingly, studio spline has no lag whatsoever. It has been like this since the install. Weird. Any thoughts?

On my Dell laptop, opening and selecting points using the...

Insert -> Curve -> Rectangle...

...dialog took a second or less for each action., typical of what I would expect.
