Hello Folks,

Has anyone spec a sludge (100% settled activated sludge) grinder with limits on the noise and vibration?

Thanks

Grinders should be low speed, high torque gear driven so noise and vibration should not be big issues, especially if mounted on a concrete pad. What is your concern?

The request to include limits on the noise and the vibration came from one of manufacturer's represetative's. When asked for a range I didn't get any. The WWTP is at a remote location with no buldings close by. I don't think the noise is that critical and the units will be installed on a concrete pad. What is the typical low speed RPM?
