I need to select a very small dry pit pump that can be used to intermittently collect settled MLSS samples from a final clarifier of an activated sludge plant. The sampling line will be about 1.5 inches in diameter. What could be a good pump for this application?

Thanks in advance

What does "very small" mean? Dimensions or flow? How long is the sample pipe?

I haven't sized the pump, but may be less than 0.5 Hp. Flow may be around 0.5 lph. Length of the pipe could be around 100 ft.

How about YOU do some research or do you expect others to do it for you. There are hundreds of pump companies and pump agents out there in the big wide world - maybe you should try some of them.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

Or an AOD pump if there is such a small one available. It is small and cheap.
