I would like to know which material seats, in a valve, can be used in slurry fluid at 20ºC @ 720psi.

Glass reinforced ptfe is good for slurry service. Although I've never used at those pressures.

We have built some valve seats using tungsten carbide for downhole oil well applications.

We suggested TiCN or Sic/Al2O3 as well but customer went with safest course.

WC Rings were about 6” across as well as thin and flat so controlling thermal stress during brazing was an issue.

Last I heard they ran about 6 months compared to three weeks for previous material.
