Does anyone have experience with determining rheological properties of slurry, thickened tailings and paste?

I am looking to purchase a new rheometer and I am hoping to find one that will be suitable for the entire range of consistencies. I don't think I will need one with all the bells and whistles that some of the high end models have. A unit with data logging capabilities and software would be great.

Regards,
Ryan

GIW Industries does that testing in their Hydraulic Lab - it may be easier to send the product there and have them do the tests with you.

GIW has done work for us before. We have also used Pocock, Brass and other.
It seems everyone has their own preference as far as viscometer/spindle combination. I am looking for some advantages/disadvantages of each type to make a decision as to which setup to purchase.
