Dear all,
I am using ABAQUS that is installed on a remote server. I use an SSH client that enables X11 forwarding to access ABAQUS from my Windows laptop. I've created a relevant environment file (abaqus_v6.env) in my working directory in order to specify the remote port that I am connecting to. However, I constantly receive an ABAQUS error message when I attempt to run any ABAQUS executables, e.g.: ./abaqus2017/Commands/abaqus cae, ./abaqus2017/Commands/abaqus licensing lmstat -a > checkToken. The error message is always the same as follows:
Launcher file "SMALauncher" not found.
Your ABAQUS installation may be incomplete or ABAQUS environment settings might be incorrect.
I've checked the directory: ./abaqus2017/Commands/abaqus and "SMALauncher" does exist in the directory. Other users do not have this problem. They are able to open ABAQUS/CAE on their local server by running the command: ./abaqus2017/Commands/abaqus cae.
Could anyone please help with this?
Many thanks,
Chad
