Hello, I need some help in controlling a window blind. What I have is a 12VDC at 8 Amp power supply connected to a 3 pole wall switch that controls a DC motor. The wall switch has up position for forward (close blind), a cross wired down position, flipped polarity, for reverse (open blind) and a center position for no voltage to the motor. At the end of travel for the blind a micro switch stops the motor. What I want to do is replace the 3 pole switch with a motor control driver that can be controlled with a control relay or RS232. All the driver will have to do is be able to handle the 12 VDC 8 Amps supply and load and be able to flip the polarity to the DC motor to run it forward and reverse. Plus have an OFF or no voltage position so I can stop the blind in mid travel. I came across a motor control from Penta Power that will do this and more, the KBBC-24M 9500. However this neat little controller does more than I need and cost too much, about $266 per unit. Is there another controller out there that will do what I need and be less expensive? I know I can come up with a couple of DPDT power relays and throw them in a box but I am shooting for a better solution.
Thanks.
Thanks.
