Does anyone know where to find some information regarding a really compact planetary gearset? I need to reduce the speed by 6.6 factor. The shaft is 0.322" with two flats and the ring gear will be molded in with my part (approx. 1.25" ID). I know it sounds extreme, but you never know unless you ask....

If this is not feasible, we'll go the VFD route and vary the freq. to control speed. That comes with it's own issues....

Your ring gear pitch diameter divided by the sun gear pitch diameter plus one is your planetary ratio, approximately. Given your dimensions, you cannot get there from here.
