I am wondering if I have misinterpreted the standards.

I have some small water knock-out vessels that I am designing for an H2 generator product. Although it is somewhat ambiguous in looking at the ASME and PED codes if I stay lower than 1 liter in volume, and/or 6 " in ID pipe and/or less than 25 Bar-Liters...I believe I can "Self Declare" on the CE for my product? However...

I need to go slightly bigger (2 to 3 liters and ~ 30-60 bar-g).

I have talked to people at Hartford Steam Boiler which led me to some other vendors here in the US that do PED work. ALL do not do ANYTHING like the little non-welded vessels I need.

Since I have been unable to find any "practical experts" on what a 3 liter non-welded 30 barg vessel would cost or what I would need to do to declare conformity...I am wondering if I have misinterpreted the standards.

Suggestions...Comments...???

Thanks

thanks kwaliteitshenk and fawkes.

My vessel is going in a product that will be deployed world wide; especially in the EU.

Fawkes. I am looking for someone (in U.S. or the E.U) to quote on such a vessel. Even though you are not promoting, selling or recruiting...could you recommend a supplier...??? ;o)

Any advice would be appreciated.
