Hi,

I am working on an office project where the client needs a small cooling system (10 kW) for the comms room. The comms room is very basic so no close control is required.

The landlord provides condenser water to the floor, so I need a system that utilised this for the comms cooling.

I know Daikin and Mitsubishi do water cooled condensers but their range starts from 22 kW.

Do you know any good manufacturer that makes water cooled systems smaller than Daikin and Mitsi?

The project is in the UK.

Thanks.

I can't help with your direct question, but make sure the landlord condenser loop operated year-round. Sounds like you will always need cooling in this area.

you might want to take a look on this thread where there is an interesting discussion about pumps working in parallel:

I might be speaking as an ignorant American here but you should consider a water source heat pump (not sure if there are common elsewhere).

Based on you mentioning Daikin and Mitsu, it seems like you are only thinking VRF - I think a 3-Ton (36,000 BTU/hr = 10.55 kW) ducted WSHP would work well for your application. Link to the Daikin product: .

Most units can be set to operate in cooling-only mode with a simple jumper setting. If you go with a "geothermal range" unit, it will operate in cooling with 20F-120F entering condenser water temperature if you need year-round cooling.

Why would you buy the heat pump control package when all you need is cooling as I read the post.
