I've been a longtime excel user but have seen a lot of people commenting on their use of SMath and I am interested in learning how to use it but I am struggling to find some good guides/tutorials. Does anyone have any links to resources that will help me learn SMath?

Thank you!

Once you get a hang on editing formulae, it's slick... I'll see if I can dig up a recent example. You can create dynamic arrays (matrices) There are a couple of large ones that have been generated by calculated item. Please check it and let me know if there are any errors... <G> In the last couple of months year (tempus fuggit), I've really learned to like the program.

the last update from Smath was december 2016 (version 0.98.6179)
no more update since over 2 years ?
sounds like it is 'dead' !?!?!?

Klaus - download site says:

Download: version 0.99.6671 - Stable (released at 2018-04-07)

Just downloaded (but mainly for comparison with my Excel+Python stuff :))

FYI, yesterday I learned the SMath Studio is available for iOS and Android platforms. I downloaded it to my iPAD, but haven't had the chance to play with it yet.

Tried it; seems more complicated to use without a real keyboard than a normal calculator. The default font is something like 6 point on my phone, without an obvious settings option.

I have an external keyboard for my iPad, so I will have to see how well that works. Regardless, I think it's pretty cool to have a program like this that works on a mobile device, even if it's hard to use.

fel3... once you get used to entering the formulae, it's a real easy program to use, and, I find the units just great (again once you get used to them). It also works on my android tablet.

It's little things, like using the apostrophe (') to enter a unit and just keep on typing the next variable in the formula, without having to move hands from keyboard to mouse to keyboard that make a big difference for me.
