Cantilevers usually deserve some attention with respect to vertical seismic acceleration. That's the only difference that I can think of between a cantilevered situation and a conventional setup. And it's usually not a big deal in monolithic concrete unless the cantilever is transferring out a column or something like that.
 

Could be.. check your local seismic code for vertical seismic effects and max cantilever length. Afaik, some codes does not allow cantilever beam having length more than 1/3 of neighbor span length ..
