Hello,
I need to verify external loads from the connected piping on the 1" XS nozzle that is connected to 4" XS pipe via 1" Cl.3000 Sockolet (MSS SP 97).
I am using rohr2fesu, which is a cylindrical shell FE tool for piping elements.
Does anybody have experience and an advice on what approach to use and how to model this connection properly?
Should I just use thicker pipe instead of Sockolet? But again, which thickness would I use?
Should I assume the first element to fail is at the pipe weld to olet socket and again, how to properly verify this connection?
Thank you for your time!
