Soft ware for engine room simulation under $500 Can.

I wish to purchase software simulation program for engine room training. I was trained on------I forget the name , but that software home version for PC costs $85,000 a copy.
I don't want that one.
I have looked on the net and I just cant figure out if it will be what I want. I don't want to spend more that $500 Canadian.
Can any body recommend a software or a site they have found with a good demo.
That is one problem I don't want to buy unless I try it out. Or if it is recommended.

You can make your own models, and link them to a control panel.
