I hesitate to ask here, but, would like some independent feedback before shelling out the bucks.

The software I am considering is designmaster electrical. It is an add on to autocad, and appears ideal for the type of electrical construction drawings that I often do.

Thanks in advance, I have no finacial interest in this software other than not wanting to spend money on something that is not really useful (again).

Well, I guess no news is good news???

Can you get a test copy or a brain damaged copy to try out? Since you will be the ultimate victi- er.. um user.

Someone may still come along here...

It has been advertised in the classified ads for EC&M for a long time now. I can not believe that nobody has heard of it. There is a demo available, that they let you play with as they coach you on the phone. Maybe it is so good that nobody wants the competition know their using it? Otherwise the disgruntled are a noisy bunch. Maybe I will be a Guinea pig, but if it does what they claim it will be worth every penny for me.

Honestly sounds like you should lead the guinea pig charge.
It looks good to me.

They have a forum that in-fact has a thread of interest to you.

I'd probably look at everything as much as possible then ask a few "quality" type questions in the user forum. Usually someone will fess up if not happy.
