OK, to start I would like to say that this site is a blessing! Now on to the task!
I am going to be constructing a bar/restaurant in the next few weeks, and would like a little help deciding the best design for the slab. The building will be either 30'x80' or 30'x100', not quite sure on that yet. The exterior walls will be framed upon the slab, so I am leaning towards footers, as well as #4 rebar grid 18" OC throughout slab. Is this overkill? The main goal is to keep cracking to a minimum, and keep vertical cracks from happening at all, as the concrete IS the finished floor.
OK, have at it guys. Tell me how YOU would do this. TIA for any/all advice!
