Hello everyone,

I have one question would like to ask your expert help:

I recently start to model soil liquefaction problem, writing a computer code in Fortran. My work is to model the floating structure during earthquake. I found many soil constitutive model which can be used. However, I am just a beginner, I want to use some simple soil models, which can be easy to implement in to computer code.

Could someone please recommend me some simple soil models? Thank you very much in advance!

hello. you will be a success in this profession.
but this branch is not easy and it is a complicate thing in geotechnical engineering. it can be solved by nonlinear and dynamical cod with advanced nonlinear soil models.
but now exist several easier than method to solve it. such as Seed,... method that based on stress method.

Hello slam00000, thank you very much for useful recommendations to constitutive model. I could find such the papers.

Hello 8531902, thanks for your massage and suggestions. I will try by my best to solve this problem with Mesh-free technique. My destination is to reproduce the whole failure process of floating structure during earthquake. I hope "this mission is possible".

Best wishes,
