Hi All

What are the main precautions to be considered while designing the transformers suitable for Solar Inverter duty application?

If an article or published paper is there, it would be appreciated.

Thanks

PV plants inverters could generate harmonics voltage distortion at their point of common coupling. During the selection and sizing of the transformer, the voltage distortion should be checked to determine the potential impact on a variety of power system components including transformers that may be overheating, increased losses and dielectric stresses.
Some PV plants oversize the transformer or use 'K rated' to avoid excessive heating of the transformer core due to harmonics

Please refer to C57.159-2016 Transformers for DPV(distributed Photo voltaic ) Power Generation system. This covers all about solar transformers
