solenoid valve and controller

Dear all,
I have a solenoid valve with 220V/50Hz. Can I use a controller with on-off control relay to operate this solenoid valve?

Suggestion: Yes. Check with the solenoid manufacturer how often or how many ON/OFFs per time interval, maximum, are permitted not to burn it.

Tip
Check solenoid current and power factor agains controller data sheet corresponding values.
If exceeded, use properly sized buffer relay.
