solid edge v19 not installing in windows 7 64-bit

i am studying mechanical engg, as our university has prescribed solid edge v19 for CAM,so i need install it in my laptop ,i have the software which i had installed in my desktop windows xp sp2 32-bit and when tried to install the same in my windows 7 its not installing even when i trouble shoot it what may be the reason and should i install any drivers to install it my laptop please explain me in detail as my college re open very shortly i need the software to run on my laptop very urgently please..i am from india vishweshwaraya technological university (vtu).And all other requirements such as hard disc and ram are satisfied 4gb ram 640 hard disc

There have been several posts about this.

Simplistically, older versions of Solid Edge were not designed to operate on Windows 7.

Also a lot depends on the version of windows 7.
Any of the ‘HOME’ versions will have trouble. Professional and upwards you’ll have more chance.
