What solid tetrahedral 3-D, 10-Node elements are used for Elastic Plastic (material stress strain curve after yielding)analysis?
ANSYS APDL SOLID92 element is good for material non linearity analysis, is no more supported, it is a legacy element now and ANSYS recommends to use a current technology element such as SOLID187.
While using SOLID187 elements for the analysis with material stress strain data, ANSYS APDL gives the following error,
"TB, MELA plasticity option is not currently supported by element type 187"

Thanks for your input and knowledge sharing.

Use Biso , or Miso plasticity,(melas is nonlinear elastic, not elasto-plastic and does not work with this element)

Erik,
Thanks a lot for your help.
The results using Miso plasticity are higher than MELAS and there is also stress concentration at the area where transition at the geometry notch begins from plastic to elastic region.
Thanks for the inputs.
