Solidworks 2007 1

Hi everybody,

here in our company we're still using Solidworks 2007 SP5.0 with 32 bit Win XP Pro.

One of our workstations has just been upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit.

Looks like SW won't be running at all.

Does anybody faced similar problem? Do you think it can be solved?

I can't seem to find the OS support info for SW2007, but I very much doubt it is supported/compatable under Windows 7. Did you try XP mode?

Solidworks 32 bit does not play well with 64 bit operating systems. You MUST run SW 64 bit on a 64 bit machine.

SW 2007 will not run on Win7 as far as I know. Heck, from what I've been reading, SW 2010 64-bit doesn't run well on Win7 either.

I recommend avoiding OS upgrades to your network until SW works out whatever their issues are. Then, upgrade everyone at once.

Our company is looking into upgrading to Windows 7. We have currently stopped upgrading at SolidWorks 2009 sp3.0.
A star for pointing out the obvious.
