Hi guys!

I´m having an annoying issue.

I´m analysing parts of a planetary gear box, but things do not work out quite as they should.

Attached is an image of my loads and restraint.

I have attached bearing loads to the 6 holes.

Regular analysis works out ok, but when I´m trying to run an H or P-adaptive solve, my results diverge.

I have tried applying fillets at the edges to no avail.

My theory is that the part itself is creating some kind of weird problem. The part is imported, and I´m suspecting that this causes the the fillets to be created improperly. As soon as I add fillets, I get singularities around the edges of the fillets.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Recommended for you

1. Did you run a check on your mesh?

2. The elements in the big fillets look pretty misshapen.

3. Check your geometry in SW for small edges, slivers, gaps and other nasties with TOOLS/CHECK.

4. Can you share a stress plot before adding fillets?
