Hello;
Anybody knows how to install sw2001 on a duron running xp??
Its the same problem when i want to install in K6-2 running windows 98 but its patch doesnot work??

Duron 1000
Windows Xp proffesional
256 RAM

The patch is only for K6 processors, you don't need the patch for any of the recent AMD processors. I have a AMD Athlon and it gives me the menu box telling me something about the patch, but you just have to ignore it.

Otherwise you just install it like you would normally install any other program.

Solidworks 2001 WILL generate an error during installation on WinXP systems. That's because WinXP support is not there until you install SP5 or higher.

Install SW normally ignoring the error and immediatly install the service packs before running SolidWorks and there will be no problems.
