I'm trying to install SP5.0 for SolidWorks 2011, but every time I select it from the drop down list, all subsequent window titles are displayed as "SolidWorks 2010 SP4.0". I don't want to install SW10 SP4.0, just SW11 SP5.0. Is this just a typo with the windows dialogue?

I want to move from SW11 SP4.0 to SW11 SP5.0.

Could it be the Window titles are showing the version being updated?
I don't remember seeing the titles, but then, to save time, I normally update remotely (work from home and home from work) and so don't watch the process.

Has the update finished yet?
Does it now show the correct SP?

I don't remember ever having SP update problems, but have had version upgrade problems with Explorer.

Oh, and since doing clean installs of SW2010 and SW2011, occasionally eDrawings will tell me that SW2009-SP5 is available ???

I haven't let it complete the process, I didn't want to go backwards.

It might pay to download the complete SP5 version, so that if you ever have to reinstall you won't have to install all the SP updates again.

I do that every year ... just in case.

Do any of you know if SP5 will be the last update for SW2011?

Thanks, Diego

I don't know for sure, but usually SP5 is the final one. Some versions have had a SP5.1 but that is rare.
