Dear,
I am in need of help using Solidworks. I have installed 32bit Solidworks 2010 and whenever I do a Simulation-Frequency an error appears "STOP-Maximum node number exceeded ". I have the new license cr ***** - "NEW Solidworks 2010 Simulation License File. " Can anyone help solve this?

Thanks
JC

Have you looked at your mesh details?

Have you run a mesh quality check?

Can you find the .out file and see if it contains any helpful information?

Can you export the mesh into Cosmos/M and look for trouble there?

I'm a little baffled at such a simple model giving trouble.

Based on the information in this link this is a solver problem. Just a long shot but can you try the PCG solver instead of STAR?

Also shut down SW and clean out all your FEA temp files if you can. Then remesh and re-run.

I'm just shooting in the dark on this, but it can't hurt to give it a try.

I've seen that connection with the types of errors. the same model in a student version runs smoothly. Another friend of mine installed the 64 bit version and it did not have problems. I do not know what that means "PCG solver"? how can I clean Out All FEA your temp files?

thks for the help

When you set up your analysis you have the option to pick the solver. AFAIK you have STAR, PCG and another.

Look in options. There should be a place to set temp file location. If you can't find it then see what files are being created and modified with the name of your part. Look for files with .out or .elm extensions.
