I had this drawing to which I added a view of an assembly then removed it so there was nothing in the drawing that was using that assembly. But when I tried to check in the drawing into PDM, the assembly whose view I removed from the drawing was still showing up in the file references. I checked FM tree and there was no view using that assembly. So one will ask why an assembly shows up in file references of a drawing even if there is nothing uses that assembly in the drawing. In my case, I was able the fix the problem by changing the selected assembly in view palette tab of task pane from not used one to used one. So, just because you select an assembly or part in view palette tab of task pane, it gets attached to the drawing as reference even if there is no view using that assembly/part. To me, it's something Dassault has to fix.
Just wanted to share.
