Hello all! I'm new to the area here, my company has been using SW for about a year now and I'm in charge of implementation and keeping everyone in solutions for SW. We (the department and I) were wondering if anyone has any macros written on calculating surface area for stain on a part face. I've looked in the mass properties calulations and there seems to be no good way to do this. Help, anyone, someone, please.

Select the surface and pick Tools > Measure. This will give you the surface area for that surface.

I have written several programs for SolidWorks to automate product design, turning 50 hour engineering projects into 4 hour drafting tasks. If you need help with a specific code problem, just start a new thread and I will see what I can do.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips, scream at you later!
