From my understanding, you will need to learn how to use C++...

I maybe wrong! Would someone care to comment on that?

SBaugh is correct.
Once compiled, you will have to run the Add-In Manager
to register it with Solidworks, additionally the .dll will have to be registered with your system.

Otherwise, VB may be the way to go instead of having a menu item directly in SW.

If you want to use VB, you will have to cheat. You can assign a macro button to a program that will present your menu, in this case a form that has your items on it. Like SBaugh and jmagee indicated, you will need C++ to add menu items. DimensionalSolutions@Core.com
