Hi all,

Does anyone know whether Solidworks and Patran/Nastran can be integrated? If so how is this accomplished?

Thanx,
M

Noran Engineering (makers of NENastran) has NeiWorks which is integrated within SolidWorks. I have not seen it or used it however.

PressRelease said:
Noran Engineering to Release NEiWorks for SolidWorks

Noran Engineering, Inc. (Westminster, CA; a global leader in simulation software and technologies, today announced their new product, NEiWorks a Cad based analytical solution for SolidWorks®, scheduled for release mid Q4 2004.

NEiWorks is a design analysis tool fully integrated within the SolidWorks® 3D modeling environment which can work with any Nastran FE solver, including NE, NX or MSC Nastran. This makes NEiWorks the first design analysis tool that offers upward and downward compatibility with industry standard solvers. This breakthrough will allow designers to send usable data directly to the analytical engineers.

"But what... is it good for?"
