Has anyone had any success running SolidWorks on one of the new Macs under Windows XP?

I haven't. Try a search here for "Mac". It may have been discussed before.

Chris,

I did search on "Mac" and found a dated reference from several years ago about running SW under a Windows emulator.

Whereas I'm inquiring about running SW under Windows XP, which runs native on the new Intel-based Mac's using BootCamp....you can boot the new Macs up under Windows XP "or" under the Mac OS.

This has been discussed at the comp.cad forum. Try doing a search there. I believe there was also a thread on this at the SolidWorks website discussion forum.

People have tried it and I believe they have been some what successful.

I've just checked the SW website discussion forum.

Yes, one fellow reports satisfaction with it's performance on the Mac. The only question seemed to be whether or not RealView graphics would run properly. That's something I could live without for having access to SW on the road.

The only question for me now is whether I can install a single-user version of SW on BOTH my PC workstation and Mac laptop.
