We recently purchased PCB. Before we were able to get it setup and installed, we were informed support will end one year from now.
We are going to look into getting $$ back.
I guess Altium is ending support until I think 2023 release. Maybe a new add-in coming out?
Has anyone used other current add-ins to create PCBs? Anything that will import Altium assy files?

ctopher,

You can get STL files from Altium. I have done it. You will need to fix the connectors and other large components, and there is much detail you will want to suppress, but it works.

Thanks drawoh.
I have tried that. Unfortunately the Altium files are not from me. The communication between elect and mech people are nil.
I ask for a stl assy, I get only the board, without holes, pads, etc.
When I finally receive assy info, I get blank board, separate part files which I don't know where they go.
Having the PCBs made within SW saves time.

ctopher,

It's coming back to me. In an Altium STL assembly, the PCBs have the same filename. If you import two Altium PCBs you are toast. Load the Altium STL assembly. Fix the problems. Save the PCB as a part. I was able to get an assembly from the PCB designer.
