I would like to know whether the texture or colour which show in SolidWorks & Photoworks are match with the standard colour code like "Pantone code"? If not can anyone suggest a method to check the colour code?

Pls advise.
Thank you.

no its a standard rgb or cmyk value colour table

there is something on the web which gives the rgb or cmyk values to establish pantone colours for photoshop users i suppose you could use that

kind of like a cross reference chart

Thanks guys, especially G1Design. I think the SWX color definition is based on Windows Color tools, which is RGB based. G1Design, can u recommend any website for me?

Here is a way to deal with this (it's OK for me!):

Try to find a digital sample of Pantone or RAL color codes (search the internet). Or scan a color chart in a quality scanner.

Use a color picker software (you can search for freeware on the internet) to find the RGB code that best match the "digital" Pantone/RAL you need.

Input the code in SW.

Of course the result is not the exact color code, but it's good enough to represent the real thing.

Regards
