Can anyone tell me how to go about modelling the stress and deformation of a can that is vacuum inside and liquid outside exerting a pressure inwards?

Apply pressure to the external faces. Atmospheric pressure is ~14.7 psi... make sure to add in the pressure caused by the depth of the liquid. Is the can very deep in the liquid?

Pretty good with SolidWorks

The problem is that I don't see any options in SolidWorks that allows me to apply a pressure to the faces of the object. Can you tell me where to find these?

The object is immersed in liquid He in a Cryostat.

Just select the face, it will display in the panel what face you have selected. It will only display the arrows around the edges of the face though.

Make sure you use the hydrostatic pressure equation for the fluid.
