Hello,

I want to learn SimulationXpress in Solidworks, never done this before and when i try to run the simulation i get an error which say Study: Failed. It is a foundation for a small pump used in ship industry. Please tell me someone what i did wrong, as i tried different combinations and none of them will work

Yes, it works on other part, do you have any ideea why is not working on my part?

SimulationXpress only works for part files. You are trying to run it on an assembly.

Have you read faq731-376 to make the best use of these Forums?

MadMango was somehow right, i used combine feature on the part and now it worked, but i have a bit more questions, how can i change units in Volumetric Properties to be in SI and not imperial?

I attached the results here

Your file's link is:
Also if someone can point me to some books or tutorials, on how to interprete the results, let`s say that a 700kg pump will rest on this foundation, it also vibrates how am i sure that the foundation is stable for the pump, i didn`t see much options in the analasys add-on maybe i`m not using the right tool. For instance in study results the base plate is bended, but normally the pump has a base plate which rests on the foundation and is tightened with screws.

Thank you in advance

Then i don`t know what the problem is, but for me didn`t work, if i remove the combined feature still receive the same error.

But why you need the combine feature and moreover it is no active in my machine. I also checked each feature and "merge results" is checked for all of them.
