Dear All,

I am using SW 2012, in which Door Drawings which have too many slit, while opening Drawings, its taking too much time to load the Drawings.

Even this options NO PREVIEW DURING OPEN not helped !!(See attached )

Is there any other setting I need to change to open Drawings faster.

Thanks & Regards

If your talking about several hole or slit patterns then the only thing you can do is make a detached Drawing. We have an injection plate that has thousands of 1/16" holes in it and to open that drawing or even the file its life altering. So I made a Detached Drawing and that fixed the issue when in a drawing. Now I can add Dimensions etc... without having to wait for my hair to fall out.

Hope this helps,

File\Save As\ - Change type to Detached Drawing

Close the file out and reopen it. That's all you have to do. You should see a blue broken paper clip in the top of the tree after you save and reopen the detached drawing.
