SOLIDWORKS STANDARD CAD Library: SolidWorks Toolbox

Does anyone have any experience with SOLIDWORKS STANDARD CAD Library?
i have an existing library of parts and was wondering if it would be possible to access via SOLIDWORKS STANDARD?
in the product matrix it states that this feature is only available in the upgraded packages? or is it that the feature is included but not the components?

SolidWorks Toolbox is not available in core SolidWorks. You must have the Pro or Premium version of SolidWorks to get Toolbox.

For SolidWorks Standard you could set up a Design Library. That is what we do for our standard parts.

You can make Parts/Assemblies with configurations in the Design Library, that will work fine... not sure what you mean by "configurable parts in the Standard version", because Anna just mentioned it doesn't have any Toolbox components (parts) included in standard SW.

very new to solidworks, but i have seen that parts can be created with variable configurations.
change features of a component, e.g.. bolt length and size. i wondered if this was a feature of all solidworks versions or just the pro and premium.

Yes, you can configure parts with Design Tables in SolidWorks Standard.

You don't have to use Design Tables, but its a better way to follow your changes. The Configuration publisher is even better in some ways.
